It must be petition day here at Fluffblog. This one hits just as close to home, Microsoft is planning on ending sales of Windows XP on June 30th. I’ve never been a fan of Vista, and frankly I don’t think my current PC even with 2 gigs of RAM could even run it, but I know when I buy my next PC later this year(or later this week if its problems keep up) I’m not going to want it to come with Vista, and I’ll try and pay for the downgrade if its available(its kind of silly that one has to pay for an older OS, but thems the breaks).
If you’re like me and would prefer XP on your new system(they’re stopping sales of OEM versions too), then head over to Infoworld and sign their “Save XP” petition, and follow their Save XP blog for the latest updates on their drive.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI would just like to say that for one, I love Vista. It is a vast improvement over XP, and it runs perfectly find on my laptop. The only issues I ever had were programs not being compatible with Vista. This problem seems to have fixed itself as Vista as gotten older.
And seriously, a petition? XP was never all that great. If we had it your way, we’d all still be using Windows 95. Change is a good thing. Just ask Barack Obama.
